About Henri & Co

Henri & Co. started as an idea created by Sarah and her friend Bobby.  Sarah was wanting a new challenge, and after much champagne the two decided Sarah should stick to her strengths – eating, drinking, socialising and shopping! 

The only question remained – how could she combine all of this into one concept?

Having conceived the idea,  Sarah and her friend then decided that a bit of “research” was in order. Sarah and her buddy jumped on a plane, flying all the way across the world to check out something they’d heard about in Europe.

Very sadly Sarah’s partner in crime in this venture, Bobby, became ill on that trip and in fact died three months later. The tragedy of Bobby’s death really affected Sarah and triggered the sale of her “day job business” which allowed her to concentrate 100% on her hair-brained scheme – Henri & Co.

Further research followed,  a bit more traditional we could say, which included identifying the appropriate place in NZ for her dream.  Once Pukekohe was identified as the most appropriate location, Sarah then set about finding the right building.

After an extended search she found this amazing heritage building in Edinburgh St, but the only problem was that is was in need of some MAJOR refurbishment. That was back in 2009, and after a year of hard work, blood, sweat and tears from her wonderful team of local contractors, friends and family –  the building was transformed into an elegant and comfortable setting.

Sarah’s vision was complete. A place to meet her friends and family – her home away from home. Perfect for long lazy brunches, lunches and dinners, with all the bits in between. You can have coffee to go, take home a small delightful treat from the deli, or stay and try the Henri & Co. dining experience. There is also a boutique store that you can indulge in homeware and gifts.

So come in and experience Henri & Co.  – eat, drink, socialise or do a little bit of shopping!
